African Hair Products - Ameaningful business?

In the old days, businesses were never interested in Black beauty, reasons back then? Am not really sure it probably didnt make that much money. Back then all they had was Black owned factories in Atlanta mixing up chemicals which were not proven and probably had bad side effects.

Nobody cared, as long as no one got hurt the family owned businesses made money and the consumer got his worth, but recently, big businesses caught sight of the margins the healthy margins that black hair products make.

According to a BBC report
Black women in the UK spend six times more on hair-care products than white women, according to L'Oreal, the French hair and beauty products company.
Only goes to show that the market is hot. I'll use this blog to discuss african hair and beauty, style and fashion and everything in between
